In our packaging, we have chosen to use PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), a lightweight and durable polyester that possesses an excellent profile from the viewpoint of environmental sustainability thanks to its infinite recycling possibilities. PET is transformed by heat and can be easily reshaped, making it completely recyclable and transformable into recycled materials. Our bottles are made from recycled food-grade plastic bottles, and our jars caps are made of 100% recycled PP (Polypropylene). We have also chosen bioplastic for our tubes and their labels, which is a bio-based material produced from a renewable source: sugar cane. INSIGHT also encourages conscious behaviors of waste differentiation and recycling to reduce problematic practices that lead to microplastics being released into the ecosystem. We have joined the RafCycle® program, which recovers waste material from labeling and transforms it into new materials. We believe that sustainability is not an end point but a journey that requires constant updating and practical actions every day. That's why we are committed to adopting the most eco-friendly solutions that technology can offer us. We want to make things better together, one step at a time. Reducing our environmental footprint has never been more important, and salons are no exception. Follow these tips to learn how to make the salon operate a little (or a lot) more eco-friendly. 

At INSIGHT, we not only champion love and care for oneself through our haircare and skincare products but love and care for the planet.  Each of us is responsible for a carbon footprint. This pertains to the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions living organisms release into the air. As a business, our carbon footprint is synonymous with our actions, which is why INSIGHT is committed to utilizing 100 percent renewable energy to achieve a goal of carbon neutrality. In other words, we are taking the necessary steps to cut down our carbon dioxide emissions, and therefore our carbon footprint, as much as we possibly can.  Recently, our Italy-based manufacturing company, Eley, obtained an ISO 14064 Certification, making them, and therefore INSIGHT, a Carbon Neutral Company. Composed of a series of standards aimed at assessing, managing, and certification of GHG emissions by organizations, this certification allows us to keep our carbon footprint under control and take on projects to reduce or eliminate our greenhouse gas emissions altogether.  View this post on Instagram Eley has already set into motion two major projects to further offset carbon emissions: The Palm oil Biomass Project and the Waste Heap Project. Aimed at creating a greener India through innovative and sustainable products, the Palmoil Biomass Project collaborates with one of the leading Indian agri-businesses when it comes to the sustainable production of palm oil. The initiative began with the financing of a cogeneration unit that utilizes palm plant waste as a fuel source for the production of palm oil and all the steam and electricity needed for the facility.  In addition to reducing the need for imported energy, the process reduces overall carbon emissions while conserving local resources, reducing pressure on the environment, and ensuring better health for the population. The plant also provides local workers with jobs and health benefits that strengthen the community’s economy.   To continue the goal of confronting the disastrous effects of climate change, Eley is also funding a special Ukraine project known as the Waste Heap Project. Located in Donbass, the landfill is home to harmful coal-rock deposits, the fire phenomenon from which can have a severe impact on the area’s ecosystem, local communities’ health, and the atmosphere at large. Therefore, Eley is sponsoring the reclamation of this landfill so that the soil deposits can be cleaned and, in turn, aid in eliminating the long-term release of greenhouse gasses from coal residue.  We believe that it is of the utmost importance to use our resources to foster a positive climate impact worldwide. No one person, or one organization, can achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions for the entire planet. Still, if we all do our part in reducing our carbon footprint and taking the necessary initiatives to become carbon neutral, we can meet our goals of making the world a better place. 

Blonde, gray, or white hair often tend to yellow, losing vitality and gloss. This also happens due to weather conditions and pollution, which penetrate the hair making it dull. Raise your hand if you have thick, curly hair and are satisfied with the products you are using and the result you get. This article is dedicated to you, curly-haired gals, often misunderstood and ill-advised customers: we want to take care of your “crown”.  Let’s start with saying that the term “curly hair” actually embraces different types of hair, which need extremely different products. What are the steps to follow in your daily routine to enhance both the shape and texture of waves and ringlets? What are the most suitable products for this type of hair?  The key word is to hydrate: never give up on conditioners or masks, but it is also important to nourish the hair with specific sprays, avoiding alcohol-based formulations.  Another recommended technique to obtain perfect curls is to apply styling products on very wet hair. Indeed, curls form during drying, so the slower the drying is, the better.  Choosing the right product based on the type of curly hair is not easy, but neither impossible.  A light product such as InSIGHT Styling Oil non Oil is the ideal solution for those with soft curls or for those who want to obtain a natural-looking style.Indeed, thanks to its medium hold, it helps to define and shape the hair as well as to eliminate frizz.  Medium or thick curly hair, however, requires a cream product: In this case, InSIGHT Styling Modeling cream is definitely the best choice if you are looking for a long lasting product with a strong hold, one that can sculpt and define curls. Moreover, on the days following the application, all you need to do is moisten your hair with your hands to magically reactivate the product’s modeling effect.  Have you already tried these products? The Bleaching fluid has a multifunctional formula, which can be used for several services in the hair salon.  How to use it? Mix the Bleaching fluid in a non-metallic container with the selected InCOLOR activator, in a 1: 1 ratio, until a homogeneous cream is obtained. Apply to dry or well-damped hair. Processing time: from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the desired result and the structure of the hair.  Let see below some examples of use:  1) NATURAL EFFECT HIGHLIGHTS To lighten a natural hair up to two tones and to create some very natural effects on lengths and ends. Mix the bleaching fluid with the 10 volumes activator. Apply the mixture on the lengths and leave on maximum 20 minutes, depending on the de- sired lightening result. Rinse and proceed with the shampoo. The bleaching action and the speed of action of the product can be influenced by the structure of the hair and by the presence of an artificial color on lengths and ends. Obviously, the best result will be obtained on natural hair. 2) HYDRATING AND ILLUMINATING PRE-COLOR TREATMENT To prepare the hair to receive a fashion or very light color, for example copper and red shades or super bleaching, on a very dark base. Mix the bleaching fluid with the 6 volumes activator. Apply the mixture to the hair, leave on for 20 minutes, remove the excess product and apply the desired Hydra-Color® shade. 3) SOFTENING OF THE RE-GROWTH EFFECT To eliminate the contrast between the natural dark base and the lighter lengths, to lighten the contrast between the natural base and the streaks. Mix the bleaching fluid with the 6 or 10 volumes activator. Apply the mixture to the working area, leave on for a time up to 20 minutes, depending on the desired shade. Rinse and proceed with the shampoo. 4) POLISHING OF COLORED HAIR AND/OR REMOVAL OF COLOR OVERLOAD Proceed with covering the root regrowth, using the desired shade. Mix the bleaching fluid with the 6 or 10 volumes activator. Apply the mixture on the lengths for 10-20 minutes. Rinse and proceed with the shampoo.

Whether it's a coverage of grey hair or a more difficult technique, every hairdresser always wants to get a perfect color, to meet the expectations of their customers. To achieve this goal, it's important to follow some simple technical steps, which are often taken for granted: we'll analyze below the basic steps that will lead us to the correct application of InColor. The first aspect to consider is the starting color base.Regrowth, lengths and tips must be examined separately, to determine: the tone height, reflexion or nuance, if the color is natural or artificial. It will be necessary to understand which are the necessary color passages, the tone to reach the goal and establish the background pigment. The front and back must be analyzed separately, determining the exact percentage of white hair. The hair structure is certainly another matter to consider: normal, thin or thick? delicate or resistant? chemically treated? porous or very damaged? These are characteristics that can influence the final result of the coloring process. Epidermic TestInColor has a skin-friendly formulation, but we know that some allergies or other skin problems can develop over time, even after many years of using the same product.For this reason, before each color application, it is recommended to perform a skin sensitivity test to check if the customer shows an intolerance to the product. The procedure is the following one: Wash well with alcohol 1 cm of skin behind the ear, Apply a small amount of InColor on the prepared area, Repeat the application 2 or 3 times and let it dry. Wait 48 hours without washing. If after this period of time it is noted itching or redness, it is likely that there is sensitivity to some component of the product, and therefore the color must not be applied.If, on the other hand, the test has had a positive effect (so no itching or redness occurred), you can proceed with the application. Application Techniques In everyday life it is easy for everyday operations to be underestimated, because they are considered simple and taken for granted. Let's see below what are the steps to be followed for optimal and safe coloring work. Before starting, we recommend applying a protective product on the face contour, such as the skin protector, to protect the client's skin. And don't forget the importance of using protective gloves by the operator. It is possible to obtain technically perfect and impressive results by following a few basic rules during the preparation of the color mixture: The doses must be precise to obtain a constant result; The use of a scale is always recommended, to weigh the right quantities; Never use metal bowls or tools; Use the product immediately after preparation. Before using InColor, do not wash your hair, but brush it carefully to remove any residues of lacquers or fixers. It is possible to make a delicate shampoo only in the case of dirty hair or too full of residues of finish products; after a short drying, apply the coloring mixture. Application and Washing InstructionsThe color should be deposited carefully and evenly with the brush, avoiding to "crawl" the brush to avoid removing the color just deposited. The laying time is determined by the desired result, the essential is that it falls within the minimum and maximum range of the times indicated. By rinsing the product before the minimum time (35 minutes), inaccurate and incomplete results are created. The indicated laying times are recommended for InColor to ensure optimal performance.Once the laying time is complete, emulsify the color, avoiding too much massage of the skin.In the rinsing phase, pour the water in small quantities, continuing to gently massage the skin and hair to ensure that the product's self-washing power exerts its full effect. Rinse the product until completely removed from the skin and hair.Cleans shampoo with Post chemistry to fix the color and eliminate residues. Condition and treat with post chemistry mask. This procedure restores the pH, eliminates swelling of the cuticle and prevents the discharge of color.

  Summer can put a strain on even the most resistant hair, especially if they are long, colored or dry. However, there are some tricks to follow to preserve the health of your hair, thus avoiding to cut to recover the damage! Here are some Insight tips for what to do during the summer to take care of your hair. 1. Use a protective spray… ... like the Protective hair spray of the Insight Antioxidant line. Carry it always with you, at the beach or the pool, to keep your hair always tidy, hydrated and protected from sunlight, wind or salt. You can also use it in the city, to protect yourself from the sun, but also from atmospheric pollution. 2. Always rinse your hair with fresh water… .... after each dive in the sea or in the swimming pool. It’s an essential gesture to remove salt or chlorine from the hair fiber. Once home, use specific shampoos that eliminate any residue: for example the Rejuvenating or the Nourishing Shampoo, in case of very dry hair. 3. If you have colored hair, use specific products… ... to preserve and protect the color: for example the Shampoo and Protective Conditioner of the Colored Hair line, able to prolong and sublimate the brightness of the color, preventing fading or discharging too much. 4. Let your hair dry naturally… ... without using the hairdryer. It’s also advisable to reduce the use of the plate or iron as much as possible. The heat of these accessories could weaken the structure of the stem, making it more fragile and prone to cracking. Instead you can create a beach waves, natural hairstyle with the help of the Volumizing Ecomousse or the Oil non oil! 5. Provide nourishment with a mask… ... like the Restructurizing Mask of the Damaged Hair range. Remember to nourish the hair sensitized by sun and salt at least once a week by applying a restoring mask. Leave it on the hair for at least 10 minutes on all lengths, and then rinse. Like the skin, the hair also needs hydration and there is nothing like water and a good diet rich in fruit and vegetables to nourish the hair from the inside. 6. Wear a hat… ... when you walk by the sea. It will seem a banality, but wearing a bandana or a hat during sun exposure, can help to shield the hair from UV rays: at the end of the summer they will be much less ruined! And now…just relax and enjoy your holidays!

This standard was established to foster the dissemination of a culture of respect for life and the environment, so that such values can be a common heritage for all. This treatment is also suggested for smoothing wavy hair. InTECH - Hair Smoothing TreatmentThe Smoothing treatment, available in 400 ml format, is a smoothing product with prolonged action, with an anti-frizz effect. Its formula, based on glyoxylic acid, contains the Organic Oat Extract, well-known for its nourishing action, and the Smoothing Phytocomplex based on fermented Oils of Argan, Green Tea Seeds, Camellia Seeds, Sunflower Seeds and Sweet almond seeds. How to use? Clean the hair with the Pre-Treatment Shampoo, then rinse. Dry the hair, to remove 50 - 70% of water. Apply the Skin Protector on the neck, face and neck. Shake the Smoothing Treatment before use, pour it into a plastic bowl and distribute it strand by strand, with the help of a wide-toothed comb, over the whole head. Do not apply to the scalp, leaving 0,5 cm from the root. Leave on for about 30 minutes, remove excess product with a towel, then blow dry the hair without rinsing. Iron each strand (max. Thickness 0,5 cm) with the ceramic plate at 170 - 210 degrees for at least 7/10 times per strand, starting from the nape. The temperature of the plate, as well as the number of passes for each strand, vary according to the type of hair:  Hair Type Temperature Hair Straightener Steps Thick or Resistant Hair 392° - 410° F 8 - 10 Times Normal Hair 374 - 392° F 6 - 8 Times Colored Hair 338° - 356° F 6 - 8 Times Fine, Damaged or Strongly Bleached Hair 320° - 338° F 7 - 9 Times   Rinse thoroughly and apply a small amount of Smoothing Mask evenly, leaving it on for 2/3 minutes. Rinse, dry and finish the smooth styling with the plate. Warning: the application of the disciplining treatment can cause a lightening of colored hair.  What's the Smoothing Mask?It's a dual action formula, smoothing and nourishing, which helps to prolong the effect of the Smoothing treatment.It gives the hair a soft and silky touch, providing the hydration and nutrition it needs. We recommend to use it immediately after the Smoothing treatment, but above all at home for the maintenance of the anti-frizz action. This year INSIGHT presented a line upgrade, related both to formulas and product packaging, oriented towards a greater environmental sustainability of the Insight project.Let's see below what has changed: FORMULATIONS No MIT MIT's are preservatives that have become the subject of controversy, Hence we’ve decided to use some alternative preservative systems. In particular, we use a biodegradable mixture of fruit acids for all our shampoos. For masks and conditioners instead we use a preservative mixture composed of Benzyl Alcohol and a naturally derived softening agent, Glyceryl Laurate. VEGAN OK Certification Coinciding with the updating of the preservative system, the entire INSIGHT hair line has been VEGAN OK certified, including INCOLOR. This standard was established to foster the dissemination of a culture of respect for life and the environment, also in favour of those who are not vegans or vegetarians, so that such values can be a common heritage for all. Therefore, buying a product bearing the VEGAN OK logo on the label, the consumer implicitly receives a guarantee from the manufacturer that the product does not contain animal components and so it did not directly involve exploitation and killing of animals. NICKEL TESTED finished products All our formulas are nickel tested, ‹ 0.5 PPM, to guarantee greater safety in case of hypersensitivity.  OUR PACKAGING We chose to use 100% post-consumer recycled PET for all bottles and jars of the INSIGHT line.   What does it mean to use recycled PET? to protect the environment to reduce carbon dioxide emissions: for every kg of recycled PET up to 3 kg of CO2 are spared! to save energy: by manufacturing products from recycled PET it is possible to achieve a 50% energy savings, reducing costs and limiting harm to the environment.  Furthermore……all the caps of our jars are made of 100% recycled PP.…all our tubes are made of a bio-based material derived from sugar cane. LABELS: RECYCLED PET AND RAFCYCLE®All labels of Insight products in bottles or jars are made of a material that has a minimum content of 25% recycled PET resin. Moreover, we joined the RafCycle® project, sponsored by UPM Raflatac, a program developed for the recovery and valorization of scraps of labels throughout their life cycle. Who is UPM Raflatac?UPM Raflatac is a global leader in the production and supply of films and self-adhesive labeling papers. What is RafCycle?This is an innovative recycling concept based on the reuse of scraps generated from adhesive label s to create new materials.  RafCycle® recovers the byproducts of adhesive labels, destined for incineration or disposal in landfills, and transforms them, giving them a new lease on life.
